The overall objective of the contract is to provide organisational and technical support for an analysis of environmental reporting, and its links to other reporting/planning, under the Better Regulation agenda. Whilst the subject of the request is not an evaluation or a fitness check, it includes some similar characteristics such as a systematic assessment of the state of play, an assessment of the value added and the coherence of different requirements and consideration of potential improvements.
The scope is the acquis managed by DG Environment (ie excludes Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) etc). This is around 70 pieces of major legislation (Directives and Regulations) plus associated legislation (such as implementing measures and delegated acts) in some cases.
