Improving energy performance of buildings in Malta: Long-Term Renovation Strategy

This project assesses Malta’s national building stock and establishes a Long-Term Renovation Strategy (‘LTRS’), as required by Article 2a of Directive 2010/31/EU of the European Parliament and oth the Council on the Energy Performance of Buildings (EPBD). It also includes the identification of cost-effective interventions and energy saving potentials in the building sector, a socio-economic impact assessment, long-term investment horizon as well as the improvement of capacity and processes in the Maltese Building and Construction Agency.
