The EEA have published a report and 29 detailed briefings which describe progress against the priority objectives of the 7th EAP. Trinomics, along with a number of sub–contractors had a major role in selecting the data and then drafting and collating the text and information in these briefings. They are grouped under three themes, in line with the three priority objectives of the 7th EAP:

• To protect, conserve and enhance the Union’s natural capital;
• To turn the Union into a resource efficient, green and competitive low-carbon economy; and
• To safeguard the Union’s citizens from environment-related pressures and risks to health.

The briefings cover subjects ranging from status of marine fish stocks to resource productivity to pesticide sales. The headline findings are that despite generally positive progress in low carbon and resource efficiency there is a need for additional action in protecting the natural environment and people’s health.
