Koen Rademaekers, Managing director at Trinomics, and co-author of a study about the subject for the ITRE Committee (European Parliament) gave an interview to Natural Gas Europe discussing the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership’s effect on the European energy markets. He does not see a significant effect “because of i. low barriers between the two countries in the oil and gas industry, ii. a possible increase in American gas prices, iii. and a simultaneous easing of restrictions from the US to non-FTA countries.”
