The objective of this study was to support the Commission in its process for analysing strategic options for future environmental policy. This took the form of logistical support for the consultation process, including the public and targeted consultations and workshops. In addition, the support took the form of flexible standalone analyses on specific issues requested by the Commission. Overall this contract provided horizontal work which ‘filled in the gaps’ of the Commission’s work in analysing a potential future EU environmental strategy (an 8th EAP). The work provided the Commission with detailed summaries of the stakeholder consultationworkshop papers and summaries, and 4 Issue Specific papers. These all contributed to the analysis carried out by the Commission. The issue papers included extensive work on an indicator suite for the 8th EAP, along with work on the environmental impactos digitalisation and work on indicaors to measure a just transition.
