Trinomics has in collaboration with Technopolis group at the request of the Ex-Post Evaluation Unit of the Directorate for Impact Assessment and European Added Value, within the Directorate General for Parliamentary Research Services (DG EPRS) of the General Secretariat of the European Parliament supported the mid-term review of the implementation of the 7th EAP.
The 7th EAP is the overarching framework of the EU to secure a long-term strategy for the environment and climate in its Member States (2014-2020). The results of the review were mixed, and showed that even though some areas have showed progress, it is unlikely that all objectives will be fully met by 2020. It also suggests that some environmental and climate-related issues are not entirely coherent with a number of EU policies. The study is available on the European Parliament Think Tank website.
Following the publication of this study, an ENVI Committee meeting took place on the 28th of November in the European Parliament, the agenda can be found here. This event was open to the public and was live-streamed as well as recorded.
