Trinomics has recently completed a market study of the (renewable) energy sector in Kenya, for the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (EKN) in Nairobi, to compile recommendations for EKN on how to formulate their economic diplomacy activities in Kenya. Special attention was paid to opportunities for the Dutch business community and public interventions to catalyse Dutch private sector investment in and development of the Kenyan energy sector in the short, medium and long term.
The study was one of the three studies that the EKN commissioned, with the other two focussing on maritime infrastructure & logistics and urban development & spatial planning. The outcomes will be presented and discussed with the Dutch private sector during a follow-up event in the Netherlands early 2015.
