Technical assistance for the support of the guidelines for the implementation of the EED recast

The objective of this project was to support the European Commission in the negotiations and the development of the guidelines for the implementation of the EED recast, in particular Articles 2, 3, 4, 11, 21, 22, 24, 26, 29 and the related annexes. In the first stage of this project, Trinomics and its partners provided support in the final stages of the negotiations of the Energy Efficiency Directive recast by providing data facts and analysis of different options of the Articles texts. In parallel, Trinomics and its partners developed guidance documents aimed at supporting Member States in the transposition and implementation of the new provisions of Articles 2, 3, 4, 11, 21, 22, 24, 26, 29 and the related Annexes. These guidance documents provide clarifications on all obligations, as well as possible ways of implementation, which the Commission considers as compliant with the EED and present best practice examples.

Trinomics focused on the development of guidance notes for the provisions of Articles 22 and 26 on the following particular issues:

– Article 22 on information and awareness raising

– Article 26 on heating and cooling supply
