Trinomics has been contracted by the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) to support them in analysing the role of education, skills and employment in the transition towards sustainability in developing countries. The link between education, training and employment has been discussed during the EEDD conference, the Post 2015 agenda and at the preparation of the COP 21. It is in line with these upcoming events (the COP21 and the ODD-post 2015) that the AFD wants to emphasise the importance of the development of human capital in relation to sustainable development and climate change.
Trinomics will provide a detailed assessment and analysis for AFD-funded beneficiary countries, which will include among others:
- The important role of human capital, in particular green jobs and skills, when implementing environmental and climate policies;
- The strategic and operational approach, retained by the technical and financial partners of AFD, to develop green jobs and skills;
- Useful tools for relevant actors to promote the integration of environmental concerns in projects.
