Trinomics has been selected by the Directorate-General for Energy in the European Commission as one of the operators for a major Framework Agreement for providing qualified legal, technical and economic expertise in the design, preparation and proper implementation of EU initiatives and legislation in the area of Energy Efficiency. The Framework Agreement covers the following sectors: buildings, products, transport, industry, energy-efficient generation, and infrastructure and networks for energy efficiency. The main services that will be provided to the European Commission include, among others:
- Economic analysis on policies, actions and energy efficiency indicators
- Studies and analyses including social, regulatory and fiscal aspects related to a specific energy efficiency sector
- Studies of energy efficiency technologies & assessment of the efficiency and effectiveness of technologies and their market uptake
- Analysis of options for setting energy efficiency targets
- Analysis and reporting on data and methodology submitted by Member States
- Assistance with regard to the regulatory process related to Ecodesign/Energy Labelling and their implementing measures
- Assessment of calculation methodologies and compliance with EPBD recast
- Assessment of Energy Certification of Buildings
- Studies and analysis of the legal and economic aspects of international agreements
- Evaluations (e.g. of the legal transposition and implementation of EU Directives)
- Assessment of compliance of Member State with EU requirements
- Assessment of existing self-regulatory measures
- Analysis, assessment, monitoring of projects granted by EU funds
