Quality assurance and expert review on a project to develop a set of indicators on energy taxation in EU member states. The objective of the study was to (i) identify, describe and critically appraise available indicators for assessing the level and design of energy taxation in EU Member States, both through paper-based research and the organisation of a workshop, (ii) propose additional indicators that are not currently calculated, but would be relevant. The study has a particular focus on the policy relevance of the different indicators.
