Trinomics, in collaboration with AidEnvironment (lead), has been awarded a study contract by the Netherlands Environment Assessment Agency (PBL) to assess the contribution of partnerships for development to inclusive green growth. This evaluation aims to generate insights in how to operationalize the concept and objectives of Inclusive Green Growth (IGG) through the mechanism of public-private partnerships (PPPs). On both aspects, by now, there is a wealth of information; however, there is still a lack of clear insight based on firm evidence about the interrelations: Can PPPs contribute to help realize objectives of IGG? What is the available evidence and what are the insights?
Therefore, the aim of this study is to:
a) Explore whether the partnerships promoted by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs address the objectives of Inclusive Green Growth in their plans and actions in a proper way, and
b) Reflect on the opportunities and constraints for strengthening partnership impacts in terms of Inclusive Green Growth.
