
Nina is an enthusiastic energy systems consultant and researcher. Her expertise and interests focus on energy infrastructure, renewable energy integration, supply chains for renewable energy systems, and energy transition policy. She has strong analytical and communication skills, is curious, and is driven to contribute to a better world. Nina joined Trinomics in 2024 as a senior consultant with over 12 years of experience in energy systems research and consultancy. In her work, Nina leverages her multidisciplinary background in environmental and systems engineering to provide in-depth technical, policy, and economic advice. During her career, Nina has worked for a wide range of clients including European, national, and local governments, system operators, NGOs, and companies in complex energy transition challenges. Nina has successfully acquired, managed, and contributed to numerous high-profile, high-impact projects resulting in exemplary client satisfaction. Given her systems perspective, Nina enjoys multidisciplinary collaboration. She thrives in international work environments.
Nina holds a PhD in Energy Systems Engineering from Delft University of Technology (in the Netherlands) and an MSc degree in Environmental Engineering from Ghent University (in Belgium).
Nina is a native Dutch speaker. She is fluent in English and Russian, understands French, and is a basic user of Spanish, German, and Danish.
