Article 6 of the Energy Efficiency Directive (EED) mandates that EU member states ensure their central governments purchase only highly energy-efficient products, services, and buildings. Trinomics investigated for the Dutch Enterprise Agency how public authorities can comply with the obligations of Article 6 with minimal administrative burden for executive agencies and governmental organisations involved. Available current databases for the built environment were analysed. The insights were matched with the requirements of the EED and European Commission guidance. The outcome was used to formulate recommendations for RVO and the Dutch national government. The published report to be found here (in Dutch): Uitwerkingen verplichtingen EED artikel 6 met minimale administratieve lasten voor uitvoerders.
